Implant Dentistry

Dental implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Our team has over 30 years of experience placing implants, and are committed to offering the highest standard of implant dentistry available today. There are many advantages to dental implants, including improved appearance and function. Dental implants are significantly stronger than bridges or dentures, and offer the most permanent solution to a lost tooth.

There are essentially three types of dental implant options, which vary depending on the number of teeth being replaced.

Single Implants (replace single teeth)

Multiple Implants (replace multiple teeth)

Full Arch Implants (replace all upper or lower teeth)

A dental implant replaces a single tooth without sacrificing the health of neighbouring teeth. Dental implants provide a highly biocompatible surface, which enables bone to completely fill in and provide long-term stability.

Just as with one missing tooth, several missing teeth can be easily treated with dental implants. Implant supported teeth are permanently fixed in the mouth, unlike removable appliances like dentures.

Implant retained dentures is when there are generally two dental implants that act as anchors to prevent the denture from moving. When the denture rests on 4 or more dental implants it’s described as implant supported dentures.
